Many of us have spent precious hours poking Claude, scanning Google reviews, or relying on the dough cognoscenti that we call friends to answer one simple question: Where do I go for great pizza?

But in this melee of endless restaurant openings that never seems to stop, putting together a compendium of pretty good pizzas from across India is as serious a task as sampling the pizza genres we have invented today. We round up the best pizzas and pizzerias around the country that feature everything from Parmesan powdered pies to ones topped with farm-to-table-ish ingredients, from wood-fired Neapolitan and thin-crust Roman-style pizza in Mumbai to some with gochujang and tahini in Chennai, scroll below for our pan-India pizza list.

Mumbai

East 7th Pizza and Deli, Bandra West

We know Bandra has a line problem, but trust us when we say this one is worth queuing up. East 7th Pizza and Deli, a Brooklyn-inspired spot, serves not just some of the best pizzas and sandwiches in the city but also some great hot honey. Their dough, which is made in-house, features a crust that is crispy on the outside, and soft and airy on the inside—perfect New York-style. This deli-style pizzeria is inspired by chef Rehan’s time in New York, where his love for pizza took shape. Living on East 7th Avenue, he immersed himself in the city’s love for pizza, and he’s brought all that back to Mumbai. Their spicy vodka and pesto and chimichurri roast chicken pies sound divine, and their Roman-style classic square is perfect for a solo date.

Gustoso, Kemps Corner and Khar West

If you’re obsessed with a classic Neapolitan-style crust, Gustoso should be your most-ordered list. The man behind their pizzas is chef Giulio Adriani, who brings his Naples training to Mumbai. The pollo piccante, a medley of spicy minced chicken, tomato sauce, mozzarella, and jalapeño, and the montanara, a lightly fried pizza crust baked with San Marzano tomato sauce, mozzarella, parmesan, and basil, are our faves. End the night with their freshly made tiramisu.

Mag St, Bandra West, Colaba, and Lower Parel

While comfort food and cocktails are what they’re known for, you can count on them for a great pizza too. With 45 veg and non-veg pizza toppings to choose from, you can create the pizza of your dreams from their made-to-order menu. Not in the mood to make choices? You can count on their set menu, which includes options like caramelised onion and goat cheese, and prosciutto and ham with burrata.

TwentySeven Bakehouse, Goregaon, Bandra, Mahalaxmi

“No-Bullsh*t Baking” is their motto and they sure do follow it. With seasoned baker and chef Rachelle Andrade and Masque founder Aditi Dugar heading the kitchen, the menu heroes locally sourced and sustainable ingredients. Pepperoni and chilli and classic cheese are a few options we’ve been eyeing from this bakery.

Aglio, Mahalaxmi, Juhu, and Sion

Pepperoni pizza
Pepperoni Pizza

“Salad could never” and we agree. Aglio has New York-style pizzas for every mood. Think: a classic cheese slice or even a picante pizza. Founded by hustling entrepreneurs and culinary experts Nirvaan Thacker, Jai Sarvaiya, Anuj Solanki, and Advait Agnihotri, the same people behind the Lebanese brand Za’atar in Mumbai, Aglio started during the 2020 lockdown and has made its mark across Mumbai. If the carbs weren’t enough, their Aglio chilli fries are the perfect side.

Pizzeria Vincenzo Capuano, Lower Parel

The place has been all over our Instagram feeds after opening its doors in July, and it’s safe to say the hype is real. If there were a pizza Olympics, this pizza place would likely be on the podium. We’re talking contemporary Neapolitan pizza with a lighter dough and a taller crust made right in Mumbai by chef Vincenzo Capuano, who is the 2022 World Pizza Champion. Try their signature provola e pepe, made with smoked provola and roasted cherry tomatoes.

Motodo, BKC

Motodo pizzeria, a portmanteau of three core ingredients—mozzarella, tomato, and dough—is inspired by the charm of trattorias. Chef Ritu Dalmia’s pizza spot offers Italian comfort meals that end with light and airy tiramisu. With rosso (tomato), verde (pesto), and bianco (cheese) pizza bases, this spot has every kind of pizza lover covered. Our pick is the La Mia Preferita, a prosciutto, mozzarella, and rucola-forward pizza.

Delhi-NCR

Leo’s Pizzeria, Vasant Vihar, Amar Colony, Ghitorni

Largely credited with bringing Neapolitan pizza to Delhi, Amol Kumar’s Leo’s opened in 2016 and has been an OG on the Delhi pizza scene. The pizzeria has maintained its position as No 41 on the Asia-Pacific Top 50 Pizza list in 2026 for the fourth time in a row. Their classic pepperoni, grana e rucola, and focaccia with truffle are just a few of the fan favourites. Want to get involved and DIY your pizza? Leo’s at 621 in Ghitorni is also a pizza lab that has a fun DIY experience.

NYNY, Hauz Khas

An extension of Amol Kumar’s pizza universe, the name says it all: New York-style pizza with East Coast flair when it comes to the interiors. This pizza-by-the-slice place is probably the cool-girl equivalent of pizzerias. With only seven pizzas, along with dough that ensures lightness and airiness, homemade tomato sauce, and low-moisture mozzarella, the menu chooses quality over quantity. A spiced pepperoni slice and the shroom slice are among their standouts. Read our full review here.

EVOO, Shivalik Road (Delhi) and MG Road (Gurugram)

Chef Manoj Kumar Singh leads EVOO with over 12 years of experience and an ingredient-driven approach. While they have great classics, try flavours like pistachio and pesto for an unexpected combo that actually works.

Pizzeria da Susy, Gurugram

This pizzeria is named after its owner, Susanna Di Cosimo, who also won the Pizza Maker of the Year 2025 at the Special Awards of 50 Top Pizza Asia-Pacific 2025. Cosimo made her way to India in 2013 from Naples, and it was the beginning of a whole new journey for her as a tour guide for Italians travelling in India. During Covid, she shifted gears and opened this pizzeria, and it’s been a place for authentic Neapolitan food ever since. Specials like the Parma & Grana include prosciutto, rocket leaves, and Grana Padano shavings, while Ortolana has zucchini, eggplants, bell peppers, artichokes, and olives.

Remy’s, Meharchand Market (Delhi), Magnum Global Park (Gurugram)

Pepperoni with fresh arugula

Remy’s is a comfortable, super-low-key spot, but don’t let that fool you. Spicy chorizo pizza, lamb ragu pizza, and pizza verdure are just a few of their specials that bring back that charm of independent eateries.

Diva, GK-2

Another one of Ritu Dalmia’s restaurants makes the list. This spot has been around for over two decades and is a cult favourite in Delhi for the perfect slice. You can pick from a regular, millet, or gluten-free base. Pizzas like the Zucca are pumpkin- and avocado-forward, while the Diavola is a spicy salumi and onion ring medley.

Bengaluru

Pizza4Ps, Indiranagar

Pizza4Ps is not just trying to be “a great pizza restaurant”; CEO Yosuke Masuko and deputy CEO Sanae Takasugi want to make the world smile with their take on the classics. Pizza4Ps has branches in Japan, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Indonesia; Bengaluru is where you can find them in India. The yakitori pizza is where a fusion of Japanese yakitori and Indian spice happens—think chicken with Indian spices meeting soy and hand-toasted nori alongside house-pulled mozzarella. A smoky seafood pizza is also on the cards.

The Pizza Bakery, Indiranagar, HSR Layout, JP Nagar, Koramangala, Bellandur, Whitefield, Church Street, RMV 2nd Stage, and Kalyan Nagar

Farmers Veg
Farmers Veg

Earthy, rustic, warm, and inviting, with a view of wood-fired ovens everywhere, this bakery is nostalgia personified. It was started by brothers Nikhil and AB Gupta; one’s vegan and the other isn’t, so you know this is a diverse menu right off the bat. When they launched The Pizza Bakery in 2017, sourdough was relatively uncommon in pizza, but they got into it right away. They have the classics covered, but if you’re feeling extra fancy check out their smoked blue cheese and truffle oyster mushroom variants.

New York Pizza Co, Koramangala

Fresh out the oven
Pepperoni pizza fresh out of the oven

These guys have cracked the code to the perfect NY-style pizza; for them, it’s all in the fold. The perfect greasy slice with just cheese—or maybe even some zucchini if you feel like balancing it out—is what pizza dreams are made of. Fancy yourself some pepperoni? Have a slice of that on their crispy crust.

Spettacolare, Indiranagar

At their outdoor seating, you can sit back and enjoy the pinsa Romana speziato, a spicy Roman-style pizza that’s a crowd favourite at this joint. Classic Naples scamorza is another fave with a thick, soft, pillowy crust. Expect to find flavourful pizzas that will blow your mind at first bite. Finish your meal with a sweet treat; their cannoli is a must.

Lupa, Ashok Nagar

Chef Manu Chandra and hospitality expert Chetan Rampal met more than 10 years ago, and one of their many ventures together is Lupa. Here, Tuscany meets New York Art Deco in terms of ambience. The live kitchen element makes the experience at Lupa’s pizzeria section unforgettable. Caprese is a known classic, and the Desi treads the line between sacrilegious and comforting with Indian flavours and Italian ingredients.

Chennai

Lola’s Pizzeria, Alwarpet

Smoked salmon and asparagus pizza
Smoked salmon and asparagus pizza

Lola’s has been around for more than five years and has something for everyone at the table. Marco Polo features tomato, mozzarella, mushrooms, prosciutto ham, artichokes, and black olives, while Polo Ligure includes mozzarella, pesto, tomato, smoked chicken, and walnut crumble. It’s one of the few places in the city with vegan options too!

Lazy Leopard, Gopalpuram

Pesto pizza
Pesto pizza

Their name is not just a random alliteration that rolls off the tongue easily. Their baked pizza dough results in a fluffy crust with leopard spots, hence the name. Self-trained executive chef Kanishk Dhupad experiments with classics; fun picks include Surfers Treasure, a fresh seafood pizza with lemon and parsley, and Fiery Aubergine, which has chilli oil as a garnish.

Nolita, Besant Nagar, Nungambakkam, ECR

New York-style pizza is right here in Chennai. With brick-walled interiors and trendy pale blue accents, you will feel like you’re actually in an American diner in Manhattan. Their Brooklyn special combines all the vegetables we love on our slice, while their classic margherita is a choice you cannot go wrong with. You can count on them for quality ingredients, because head chef Babu Perumal says the focus is on bringing an authentic diner experience, which is why most ingredients are imported.

Ciro’s Pizzeria, Alwarpet, Kottivakkam

Pizza Marinara
Pizza Marinara

Here, you can choose your own dough, sauce, and cheese to craft the pizza you truly crave. With offerings in both Romana and Napoletano-style pies, this place has pizza for all. Along with the regular flavours, they even have an around-the-world pizza menu, with slices including gochujang and tahini; pizza crime or not, you decide.

Goa

Villa Nova Project, Anjuna

Set in the vibrant neighbourhood of Anjuna, Villa Nova Project is the brainchild of founder and head chef Imran Hai and specialises in thin-crust wood-fired pizzas. The Nova is a classic with tomatoes, mozzarella, anchovies, and capers, all on their signature base. With their newly opened Anjuna location, you can expect to enjoy the same great food, just in a different setting.

Goodfellas, Benaulim

Pizza with Burrata
Pizza with burrata

Known as the pizza people of Goa, Goodfellas does justice to its movie-inspired name. Their cosy bar seating is a good place to enjoy their signature Goodfellas pizza, which is made of tomato sauce, mozzarella, jalapeno, chicken, spicy salami, and garlic. Have a bite and think of that iconic prison sequence from the namesake movie where mob boss Paulie uses a razorblade to slice garlic so thin it dissolves instantly in a pan of oil.

Due Amici Pizzeria & Cafe, Siolim, Kenilworth Resort

Sourdough pizza
Sourdough pizza

Between North and South Goa, Due Amici has two locations that you can hop into. Their 25-cover hideaway with wood-fired pizzas and live grills in Kenilworth Resort is an intimate experience. Run by chef Davide Cananzi in Siolim, in both locations you’ll find authentic Roman-style pizzas with the freshest burrata, truffle, and tomatoes.

Casanoni Trattoria, Panaji

An Italian grandmother’s kitchen in an 80-year-old Fontainhas home is probably what pizza dreams are made of, and Casanoni makes them come true. This place brings old-world trattoria charm to Panaji, and ingredients like olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and cheese are all flown in from Italy, while the rest are locally sourced. The Parma ham Napoli is a must, and while you’re at it, have a limoncello drink to round everything up.

Al Pomodoro, Anjuna

This quaint place nestled in Anjuna serves bold flavours and slow-cooked sauces. With four of the five people running this joint being Italian, this place can vouch for authenticity on the table. The space is relaxed, the menu is short and sweet, but once you know instantly that you can't do wrong with your order here. Our favourite is their signature crudo rucola e grana with tomatoes, ham, rucola, and parmesan shavings that is also a favourite with their regulars.

Melt Pizzabar, Anjuna

The best thing about this small pizzeria may not be its location, but how fresh their pizzas taste even after delivery. Just follow the instructions on pizza box to reheat and you will be rewarded with an artisanal Neopolitan pizza at home. Their Larry Bird chicken pizza and Choriz de Goa one is a local favourite.

Hyderabad

Pompeii Pizza Studio, Kondapur, Hitech City, Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills

Signature pepperoni
Classic pepperoni

With four locations in the city, we bet this will become your comfort Neapolitan pizza spot. The place claims to serve up traditional Italian family recipes; expect the perfect volcanic char and freshest San Marzano tomatoes. Their classic prosciutto di mascarpone sourdough pizza is an unexpected cheese choice that won’t disappoint.

Ciao, Jubilee Hills, Kokapet

Truffle and mushroom
Truffle and mushroom

An Italian nonna-style feast is what you will get at Ciao. Both locations come with art pieces created from industrial waste and vintage art prints. Chef Kaushik Patange creates fresh handmade mozzarella to go with every pizza. Try their Pimonte, which combines garlic, shallots, and mushrooms.

Nove, Kokapet, Banjara Hills

Caramelized onion pizza
Caramelized onion pizza

Nove brings Chicago-style deep-dish pizza right to your table. They don’t keep things basic and even have a Neapolitan pizza sandwich with avocado. This contemporary space combines minimalistic decor with greenery and hanging plants.
